Overview & Reviews
After last year's major refresh, Lexus chose to keep changes simple this year. The lone change is to the optional 18-inch alloy wheels, which are now available as a stand-alone extra.
- Superb ride quality, impressive array of standard and optional luxury features, premium interior materials, Lexus reliability, top-notch dealer service.
- Not as athletic as some competitors, adding options raises the price to unLexus-like levels.

PERFECT CAR - 2005 Lexus LS 430
By Bill - September 10 - 9:20 pmThis is my absolute favorite automobile. I have owned a Benz S and a BMW 7, and neither compair to the LS 430. The Lexus is hands down the best luxury car on the road. never had any problems, as i did with the BMW and the Benz, and i spent less in the Lexus. the ride is much, much smoother and softer, the engine has more then enough power for any luxury car driver. I will never drive anything other then a LS, Best Car on the road.

My New LS430 - 2005 Lexus LS 430
By Jim - July 25 - 11:53 pmProblems: 1) drivers seat not comfortable - feels like you sit in a hole and perforated seats dont permit you to move easily. 2) No good way to run XM antenna in the trunk. 3) Hard to see orange letters on display (too small). 4) Ride too hard with low profile tires.

Comfort, Class, Quality & Service - 2005 Lexus LS 430
By Robin3615 - July 19 - 10:00 amI have the premium luxury equipment package. The service is excellent. The ride is second to none. The quality is superior. I had an ES300 years ago and traded it at 100K miles. Since then, I drove a 2000 Volvo and 2003 Jag S type 4.2 . I still have the volvo which my younger brother drives. I put more miles on the X type loaner cars than on the Jag I owned. More than a dozen repairs in 2 years. Service is getting more like Ford. I traded it in 20K before the warranty expired.

Not as good as they say - 2005 Lexus LS 430
By Michael OBrien - June 16 - 10:56 pmWhilst the Lexus is a superb car it is not perfect and I have had numerous problems which the dealership were not very cooperative in dealing with. These include a sun roof which rattles at low speed, spurious warnings from the low tire pressure sensors, and a time lag on the accelerator.

A worthwhile and enjoyable experience - 2005 Lexus LS 430
By Professor - June 1 - 10:33 pmI purchased my LS 430 as a certified used Lexus and it had 17280 miles at the time of purchase. I am more than pleased with every aspect of the automobile. It is serene and powerful, yet it gets a respectable MPG considering its size and weight. It is exceptionally comfortable and a pleasure to drive.

good car, design flaws - 2005 Lexus LS 430
By spam - February 9 - 1:46 amThis is my 2nd ls430 in a row. There is too much wind noise and the dealership, although accomodating (they even replaced the wind shield) could not find the problem. They took out the occilating front vents (great feature), the message recorder and the emergency sat link. All missed very much. The seats are less comfortable. This is my first "ultra luxury" package, and my last.
